Merchandise adjustments allow for markups, markdowns and adjustments for shrink. If the operator forgets the department code, a handy pop-up screen will appear automatically to assist them. |

The operator may return to the adjustment program at any time prior to the closing of the day. Markups and markdowns adjust the stores’ category cost-ratio and lower the retail value of the category. Others lower the retail value and are either charged off to the category’s cost-of-sales, or they can be directed to an expense account. This is according to the client’s needs and is set up in the back office system accordingly. |
