If the operator does not know the bank code, they simply leave it blank and enter a reference code and an amount. Many different kinds of bank accounts can be selected here. Among these are safe drops and transfer accounts. The system will allow the operator to choose from only those accounts that they are allowed to use for this store. A check is entered as simply a negative deposit. |

If the bank account field is left blank, a screen pops up to assist the operator in choosing the right bank account. In this case the store has only one account, so the bank account is automatically selected for the operator. Once the operator becomes familiar with his/her store they can usually enter the bank account number quicker than searching for it. |

Once the bank deposits, safe drops and checks have been entered. the operator may confirm the entry and the system will record the entries and exit the program. The operator may go back into the program and edit, delete, or add new bank transactions until the day has been closed for all shifts. |
