All of the transaction programs function in the same way. So we will explain the entry point once, and not waste time in explaining it again for every transaction program in the system.
First the operator will accept the summary date. The summary date is the same as the date on a paper shift report; then the shift code (A-Z) and the operator who is in charge of entering the shift data into the computer.
If the operator has forgotten their user id, a handy search screen pops up to assist them. By placing an ‘X’ next to their name, their user id is selected for them.
